This role supports the High Yield and Systematic investment businesses within Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (GFICC) at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. The role has a dual mandate: client-facing investment specialist responsibilities and serving as a technology and innovation resource for the GFICC team. The technology aspect involves leveraging AI, large language models, and automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort in reporting and commentary generation, and build scalable solutions using Python and APIs. The role requires strong Python skills, familiarity with fixed income markets, and the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI, large language models, automation, and advanced data tools to streamline workflows across GFICC.
  2. Design and build scalable solutions — using Python, APIs, and relevant AI frameworks — to reduce manual effort in performance reporting, market commentary generation, data aggregation, and presentation production.
  3. Stay current on emerging technologies and evaluate their practical applicability within an asset management context.
  4. Collaborate with technology, data, and investment teams across GFICC to translate business problems into well-engineered, repeatable solutions.
  5. Bring a rigorous, solutions-oriented mindset to every challenge, with a focus on creating durable efficiencies across the platform.
