JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Municipal Research Analyst with Executive Director level experience to join their Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities team. The role involves providing investment recommendations, performing credit risk analysis, conducting due diligence, and monitoring market trends for municipal securities. The analyst will work with a global team and communicate insights to stakeholders. Required qualifications include at least 10 years of credit analysis experience, a Bachelor's degree, strong financial analysis skills, and the ability to evaluate complex bond documents. A CFA or candidate status is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide and maintain buy and/or sell investment recommendations via credit discussions and written credit reports for municipal securities for assigned sectors.
  2. Perform independent credit risk on issuers to identify relative value and investment opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  3. Perform due diligence, pre- and post-issuance, by engaging municipal issuers and investment bankers and making site visits (some domestic travel required).
  4. Actively monitor market themes and sector trends.
  5. Communicate investment recommendations, market themes and sector trends to portfolio managers, internal stakeholders and clients.
