This role is for an Associate on the Strategy & Business Development team within JPMorgan Chase's Asset Management division. The position focuses on advancing key projects through detailed analysis, strategic planning, business enhancement, and optimization. Responsibilities include conducting market sizing and competitive analyses, developing growth strategies, translating strategies into operational initiatives, defining operating models, managing inter-departmental initiatives, developing leadership communication materials, and assessing M&A transactions. The role requires experience in strategy consulting or a front-office asset/wealth management role, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. A basic understanding of AI/LLMs is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform competitive and market sizing analyses, including profiling competitors’ offerings / strategies and identifying factors driving growth or change in industry structure
  2. Identify and develop growth strategies based on identifying customer segments, buying behaviors, and customer value propositions
  3. Translate growth strategies into operational initiatives by modeling business decisions, determining cost structures / drivers, and assessing financial impacts
  4. Define operating models and address related organizational design and governance issues, such as devising coverage models or defining client segments to differentiate service strategies
  5. Manage or facilitate inter-Line of Business or intra-Line of Business initiatives
