Asset & Wealth Management Controls Strategy & Innovation (csi) – AI Controls Enablement (vice President)

JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase · Banking · NY · Asset & Wealth Management

The Vice President of AI Controls Enablement will work at the intersection of Business and Technology, developing AI tools, optimizing control frameworks, and ensuring the responsible deployment of AI within JPMorgan Chase's Asset & Wealth Management division. This role involves risk review, acting as a gatekeeper for AI tool submissions, and producing reports for senior leadership. The position requires technical AI fluency, understanding of AI limitations, and the ability to translate complex AI behavior into actionable risk findings within a controls framework, while also managing stakeholders and project execution.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop AI tools alongside Citizen Developers and Technology, optimizing control frameworks, identifying risks sooner and working with business to solve problems, co-signing every tool submission before it is approved for deployment to colleagues.
  2. Determine the right tool to solve the problem from a cost effective mindset across AI and general automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Python, and other JPMorgan-authorized workflow, process, and decision automation tools) to prototype and scale automated controls.
  3. Run scenario simulations and red-team exercises; establish best practices and standards for the review and deployment of AI tools across the AI Controls Enablement team.
  4. Assist with coordination of the AI Controls Council, producing quarterly AI Controls Intelligence Report for senior leadership, including status of in-flight items, prioritization of new work, and solutions launched with impact — providing the role strong visibility across both Controls and business leadership.
