Assets Protection Specialist

This role focuses on loss prevention and asset protection within a retail environment, utilizing surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to mitigate theft and fraud, ensure product availability, and maintain security for guests and team members. Responsibilities include monitoring guests, implementing security practices, documenting cases, identifying theft trends, and responding to security incidents. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. No specific AI/ML skills are required, and the role is not AI-related.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support total store sales, guest service and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests by preventing and resolving theft.
  2. Resolve theft by using good judgement and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while strictly adhering to AP policies and procedures.
  3. Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting and surveillance tactics.
  4. Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues.
  5. Understand and appropriately use video systems to monitor theft activity.

Skills

Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
