This role is for an Assistant General Counsel at Honeywell Industrial Automation in Greater China. The position involves overseeing and supporting all legal matters, including commercial law, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, contract review and management, litigation, and internal investigations. The role requires a licensed attorney with significant experience in transactional, governance, compliance, and litigation matters, as well as strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Under the supervision of Honeywell’s Vice President & General Counsel Greater China, serve as the first point of contact in the Greater China region for IA’s Vice President & General Manager for Greater China and work with the other members of the Honeywell Law Department to deliver legal services in a timely and effective manner across the region. You will also work closely with IA’s global Vice President & General Counsel to coordinate legal strategies and ensure general alignment with Honeywell’s and IA’s global practices and business interests.
  2. Analyze and advise on all legal and regulatory issues for the IA business, including those relating to commercial and contract law, environmental, health and safety, intellectual property, leasing, licensing, corporate compliance, foreign investment, labor & employment, M&A, product liability, anti-trust, etc.
  3. Lead IA China’s contract review and management. Draft, negotiate and manage legal documentation for a broad range of commercial transactions (including NDAs, supply and sales agreements).
  4. Manage litigation for and against the IA business and direct dispute resolution efforts, including the management of external counsel for referred matters in Greater China.
  5. Oversee the integrity and compliance program for IA in Greater China, including internal investigations in coordination with the Honeywell Integrity & Compliance team.
