Assistant Project Controls Engineer

This role supports the construction project controls team for CoreWeave's global AI infrastructure expansion, focusing on administrative, documentation, and coordination tasks for hyperscale data center construction projects. The Assistant Project Engineer will manage document control, assist with reporting, support project controls functions, and coordinate with various project teams to ensure accurate data capture and informed decision-making.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage document control processes, ensuring timely filing, tracking, and retrieval of all project documents
  2. Produce weekly and monthly project-level reports in coordination with the Project Controls Engineer
  3. Support the Project Controls Engineer with reviewing and validating change orders and pay applications
  4. Support field coordination and logistics in collaboration with the Construction Manager and Project Controls team
  5. Maintain a shared responsibility for project safety awareness and adherence to company safety protocols

Skills

Required

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a construction, engineering, or project controls environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Maintain organized and accurate project documentation, schedules, and reports
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and project deadlines
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites as required

Nice to have

  • Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Procore, or similar construction management software
  • Familiarity with construction project controls concepts, including budgets, schedules, and change management
  • Exposure to document control systems and best practices
  • Experience with Jira or similar ticketing/workflow tools
  • Proven knowledge of construction components, methodologies, and the ability to interpret complex construction documents
