What you'd actually do

  1. Manage accounts: Responsible for 80-100 specific restaurant partners, handling everything from negotiations with management (C-level) to opening up channels for discussing future delivery opportunities.
  2. Build relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term trusting relationships with partners.
  3. Data-driven problem solving: Understand business status on a weekly basis (WoW), identify potential signals, and identify and solve partner challenges with data-driven thinking, providing the necessary resources and support.
  4. Strategic planning: Shape the future of the "SMB Hero" function in Japan in collaboration with managers and leadership teams.
  5. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as operations, marketing, and customer support to promote projects.
  6. Progress management: Share progress with stakeholders in a timely manner and execute reliably towards goal achievement while making adjustments as needed.
  7. Achieve goals: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales quotas, or exceed them.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of sales experience in a fast-growing company and solution selling experience.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate with SMB executives while receiving support from leadership.
  • Understanding of the platform business ecosystem.
  • Energetic and motivated to improve local communities.
  • Fluent Japanese.
  • English proficiency for reading and writing.

Nice to have

  • Extensive network or practical experience in the Japanese food service industry.
  • Project management experience involving cross-functional teams (XFN).
  • Business-level English proficiency.
