Salesforce is seeking an Associate Account Partner for their Professional Services sales team. This role involves identifying customer needs, positioning service offerings, and helping customers achieve success on the Salesforce Platform. The candidate will generate pipeline within the existing customer base, collaborate with license sales, and articulate how services solve customer challenges. The role requires strong sales experience, consultative selling skills, and the ability to build executive-level relationships. While the company heavily promotes its AI capabilities and uses AI tools in recruiting, the core function of this role is sales and customer success, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and create new qualified opportunities within the current customer base, progressing deals through a sales cycle to closed won.
  2. Engage with the license sales team and customers using a consultative selling approach that positions Salesforce Services as a long-term trusted advisor.
  3. Create compelling visions and clearly communicate entry-point service solutions to generate significant business value from a customer's Salesforce investment.
  4. Collaborate with business development and core selling teams on account strategy, and partner with the Customer Success ecosystem to ensure customers are optimizing their Salesforce investment.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships at the Director, VP, or C-level
  • Experience navigating complex customer situations within large organizations
  • Ability to gain executive-level buy-in
  • Prioritize and perform effectively under pressure
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise facilitating meetings and presenting to executive-level audiences

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of consultative sales experience
  • 2+ years of inside or field sales experience
  • Knowledge of business processes (such as Sales, Marketing, Service, and Support)
  • Ability to link business processes with product and technical solutions
  • Knowledge of Salesforce applications, platform features, capabilities, and best use
  • Experience in Communications, Media, Technology, or Consumer Business Services industries
  • Comfortable with travel
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced work environment
