Associate Accountant role within Expedia's Consumer Payment and Cash Accounting (CPAC) Team, responsible for accounting and analysis of worldwide cash receipts and consumer payment methods. Duties include reconciling settlement reports, partnering with operations, preparing journal entries, and supporting audits and SOX compliance. Requires strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills, with a degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience. Preferred experience with AI tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Reconcile daily credit card settlement reports to cash received and research differences
  2. Partner with Global Payments Operations to ensure timely settlement files and funding
  3. Lead meetings with Global Payments Operations and Engineering to troubleshoot issues in the internal cash reconciliation tool
  4. Perform ad hoc analysis on unusual transactions for business partners
  5. Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
