Associate Business Manager

Develop and execute long-term strategies, lead commercial management of wholesale accounts, and evaluate licensee base for rationalization and growth. This role focuses on strategic category and licensee management, building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing local market category plans. It involves leading commercial management to achieve financial targets and strategic initiatives, managing projects and licensees, collaborating with retail and marketing teams, and working with buyers to develop business opportunities. The role also drives strategic upskilling of the sales team through training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Strategic category & licensee management
  2. Build strong relationships with existing licensees and nurture them to grow further. Also identify new business opportunities and develop potential partners to solidify the licensee base.
  3. Develop local market category plan for hardline category (toys) in line with regional strategy & plan.
  4. Identify, define, communicate, and drive new growth opportunities built on licensing various Disney IP outside traditional hardline/softline categories.
  5. Lead the commercial management of a series of our existing accounts to achieve the yearly business (financial) target as well as strategic initiatives that the company pursues.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management/sales/marketing/licensing/retail is preferred.
  • Experience and/or a high level of interest in categories such as Toy, Fashion, and/or FMCG.
  • Experience and proficiency operating under uncertain, undefined environments to identify and drive strategic business outcomes.
  • Willingness to bring creative/new ideas & solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical skill and understanding of business and financial concepts
  • Business proficiency in English.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites. (especially Excel & Power Point)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
