This role is for an Associate, Commercial Loan Closing specializing in Construction Loans at Capital One. The primary responsibility is to manage the construction draw process, acting as the main point of contact for borrowers and asset managers. This involves reviewing loan agreements, draw requests, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and lien laws. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders. It is a remote position with specific technology and living requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review complex loan agreements, budgets, draw requests, budget allocations, title endorsements, and releases to drive the construction draws during the life of the project. Interact with Asset Manager, Underwriters, Relationship Managers, engineers, borrowers, agent banks and insurance agents, etc.
  2. Ensure documentation accurately reflects the drawing process as outlined in the Loan Agreement
  3. Facilitates teamwork and continuity
  4. Solid knowledge required for the role and pursues gaining new knowledge when required
  5. Positively accepts change and engages productively with the team and relevant stakeholders

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of banking operations or financial services experience

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • 2+ years of loan closing or construction funding experience
  • 2+ years of experience with ACBS
  • 2+ years of experience reviewing Loan or Legal Documentation
  • 2+ years of experience with Intralinks or SyndTrack
