What you'd actually do

  1. Learns, develops, and validates requirements for various communication, navigation, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
  2. Learns, develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, including navigation and communication; mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
  3. Learns and develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
  4. Assists in trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements. Assists in conducting critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
  5. Participates in the appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with design, integration, and test of electrical systems.
  • Experience with RF measurements including intermodulation distortion, phase noise, and spurious measurement test techniques.
  • Experience with electronics laboratory instrumentation.
  • Experience with product configuration management.
  • Experience with high frequency RF, Digital, power and analog test systems.
  • Experience managing/leading engineering projects.
  • Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams.
