Associate Counsel for litigation, regulatory, and dispute resolution matters in Mexico, supporting business and legal stakeholders in developing strategies and managing outside counsel.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop litigation strategies, assess legal risks, and provide recommendations to business and legal leadership.
  2. Support responses to regulatory investigations, government inquiries, and enforcement actions.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify litigation trends, implement risk mitigation measures, and improve operational processes.
  4. Prepare legal analyses, case updates, and executive-level communications regarding significant disputes and litigation risks.

Skills

Required

  • Law degree and admission to practice law in Mexico.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in house or in a firm.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing complex commercial, civil, administrative, regulatory, or constitutional litigation.
  • Experience working with and managing outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and provide practical, solutions-oriented advice.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
