What you'd actually do

  1. Primary focus will be hands-on work on litigation and regulatory matters, including advising the business on compliance, drafting submissions, attending hearings, and developing strategy
  2. Be an active partner, and ensure the provision of timely business-focused advice, to a variety of areas including Uber’s Delivery (Uber Eats) and Mobility (ridesharing) lines of business
  3. Act as a point of contact on Canadian issues for the business in Canada as well as for teams at our HQ in San Francisco and Uber’s lawyers around the globe
  4. Practice ground-breaking law as you work on matters in a cutting-edge industry

Skills

Required

  • J.D. or LL.B
  • license to practice law in at least one Canadian province
  • Minimum of four years of relevant legal experience

  • Experience advising on legal issues related to consumer-facing products
  • Legal experience where litigation, regulatory law, consumer protection, competition, and marketing were areas of focus
  • Confidence operating in a fast-paced, high-functioning environment where the law is still developing
