Associate Director for AI Software in Applied Research & Technology within RTX's Defense Technologies segment. What you'd actually do

  1. Architect and implement AI software algorithms & pipelines that meet performance, SWaP, cost, reliability, and security targets.
  2. Build and evolve software prototypes—in simulations, lab setups, and embedded devices.
  3. Design and run experiments, analyze data and use the results to iterate fast on concepts, models, and implementations.
  4. Mentor junior software engineers and lead software teams
  5. Capture architectures, designs, test results, and lessons learned so others can review, reuse, and extend your work.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree or advanced degree
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience
  • US DoD security clearance (or capability to obtain)
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience planning and executing experiments/evaluations
  • Experience leading technical projects

What the JD emphasized
