Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Director, Patient Data Management & Operations for their Oncology and Neuroscience brands. This role will lead the data strategy, management, and operations for patient data, overseeing ingestion, validation, harmonization, and downstream solutions. The individual will act as a data quarterback, govern business processes, manage data quality, collaborate with vendors, and support ad hoc data-related business questions. Responsibilities include owning data assets, leading data governance, managing data integration projects, and overseeing data purchase budgets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Owning the overall management and operations of patient data for the Oncology and Neuroscience portfolio, overseeing the strategy, operations, and ongoing quality of the data assets (HUB, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, claims, etc.)
  2. Lead the ongoing quality and application of JJIM data pipeline supporting the insights & analytics, patient experience, sales and marketing organization, ensuring high-quality data and appropriate use.
  3. Act as key contact, or “data quarterback” within the StAT organization for patient data related needs, queries, and issues and advise business and stakeholder teams on the best data sources to leverage for a given business question or insight.
  4. Lead the data governance program for the patient data for the ONC and NS portfolio; actively supervise data quality and resolve data-related issues and disruptions.
  5. Lead data change management/ issue resolution/ data integration projects for existing products and new launches – build project plans, perform validation and change management activities.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years in roles related to data management, analytics, insights or other commercial excellence areas within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, Analytics or Health Sciences
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources/products and expertise in using pharma industry including first party data (HUB, Patient Support Programs, etc.), second party data (Specialty pharmacy), and syndicated/secondary data from leading vendors
