Associate Engineer (b&a Maintenance / Event Engineer Support) (2-year Contract)

Associate Engineer role focused on maintenance, event support, and project coordination for building, architectural, and artistic elements at Disney. Responsibilities include coordinating with internal teams and contractors, supporting tender processes, providing engineering solutions for maintenance, and managing materials and tools. Requires knowledge of construction, safety regulations, and maintenance management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordination with internal engineering professionals and contractors’ onsite supervision for the delivery of seasonal / special events and signage / graphic production and installations to meet the safety, statutory and functional requirements.
  2. Support tender preparation, tender analysis, contract administration for seasonal event projects and maintenance term contracts as well as rehab projects.
  3. Coordination and provide engineering solutions and supervision for in-house technicians and term contractors day-to-day corrective / preventive maintenance of building, architectural and artistic elements (including furniture, paints, graphic, signage, props, decorations, etc.) to meet the safety, functional and show quality standards.
  4. Support Sign Shop signage production, installation and daily operation.
  5. Compile maintenance data for assets reliability and maintenance efficiency analysis by using computer-aid systems (e.g. Maximo, FCS, Business Objects, etc.).

Skills

Required

  • High Certificate in Building-related Studies, Civil Engineering, Scenic Art or other related disciplines
  • Knowledge of construction, occupational safety and other statutory requirements for maintenance and construction project
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with positive attitude
  • Strong technical know-how and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and Disney’s standards for maintenance and project managements
  • Strong technical know-how with solid experience to facilitate the quality control and maintenance aspects
