Associate Engineering Technical Specialist

This role focuses on data management, system administration, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance within Boeing's Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The specialist will monitor and maintain authoritative data across applications, evaluate data for troubleshooting, and standardize data mining. Responsibilities include configuration management, compliance assessments, developing documentation, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met. The role involves data analysis, reporting, and supporting engineering tools and processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provides configuration management, coordinates changes, performs assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs
  2. Performs data mining and evaluation to various criteria and provides summary of results for the end users
  3. Standardize data mining for commonly used data using queries and providing results to end users
  4. Develops, documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standards
  5. Provides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs

Skills

Required

  • U.S. Person status for export control compliance
  • 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • Microsoft Excel to process tabular data
  • Ability to document training instructions and user guides

Nice to have

  • 2+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS), or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON)
  • Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse concepts
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedule
  • Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
