Associate, Experienced, or Lead Level Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ecs) Analysis Engineer

Seeking an Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Analysis Engineer at Boeing to support 777X development programs. Responsibilities include supporting analysis and architecture, assessing safety issues, contributing to requirements, assisting with testing, and working with customers and suppliers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports development and documentation of Environmental Control System analysis and architecture
  2. Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level
  3. Contributes to development of hardware, software, and system performance requirements, as well as supplier qualification of these components and systems
  4. Assists in component and system laboratory/airplane testing to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  5. Works directly with airline customers and airplane component suppliers to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 1+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team
  • experience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment
  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience
  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience
  • Master’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience being a team leader
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/incompressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics
  • Direct experience with aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
  • Experience with Boeing commercial airplane modification projects
  • Experience with Boeing production development programs
  • Ability to work with multiple team functions
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
