Associate/experienced Software Engineer–developer (development)

Boeing Boeing · Aerospace · Kent, WA

Software Engineer role focused on building and operating mission-critical infrastructure, automated delivery pipelines, and developer-facing platforms using Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and containerization. The role emphasizes reliability, security, and observability for software platforms in a regulated environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK to provision AWS accounts, VPCs, networking, IAM, and other cloud resources in a repeatable and auditable manner.
  2. Build, operate, and harden CI/CD pipelines to deploy services and serverless functions into development, staging, and production environments with automated testing and policy enforcement.
  3. Containerize applications using Docker and author/maintain Helm charts (or equivalent packaging) for reproducible deployments.
  4. Implement environment bootstrapping and teardown automation so teams can create consistent, short‑lived test and integration environments.
  5. Deliver and operate internal developer-facing platforms and tooling as a service (TaaS): self-service infrastructure, deployment, observability, and security controls that let product teams move faster with confidence.
