This role supports an AI prompting initiative to advance fraud analysis and decision support. The Associate will analyze fraud trends, collaborate with stakeholders to implement containment measures, and provide data for various initiatives. Key responsibilities include data analysis, root cause analysis, project management, and providing clear inputs to AI tools for analysis and decision-making.

What you'd actually do

  1. Training and Development: You will have the opportunity to receive training in root cause analysis and SQL functions.
  2. Subject Matter Expertise: ** You understand fraud, how it pertains to the DoorDash ecosystem and recognize, or seek to find new and uncommon fraud tactics.
  3. Data Analysis and Interpretation: ** You know how to make data-driven decisions by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions that address large fraud trends. This requires a familiarity with various tools and technologies, including the creation of workbooks, scripting spreadsheet functions, and at minimum a basic understanding of SQL.
  4. Root Cause Analysis: ** You have a passion for catching important details that could cause problems later, operate at the lowest level of detail with a keen eye to understand and address problems at their foundation, and differentiate between patching and fixing problems.
  5. Project Management: ** You operate autonomously to own projects of medium complexity from start to finish, partnering with stakeholders to drive outcomes. These projects often impact processes, technology roadmaps, and other internal initiatives. You recognize risks and have a calculated bias for action.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years experience in fraud, finance, or other professional operations environment as an individual contributor or similar
  • Proficient in SQL, with the ability to independently write, modify, and execute queries from scratch on a daily basis (e.g., joins, aggregations, subqueries) to support fraud investigations.
  • Google suite intermediate proficiency (sheets, docs, gmail, calendar)
  • Organized and able to work independently with minimum supervision while owning projects
  • Highly motivated by complex problems with a strong eye for detail and a knack for creative solutions
  • Strong professional presence and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and risks to partners at all levels.
  • Ability to ask challenging questions professionally and collaboratively to uncover insights, clarify assumptions, and drive effective solutions.
  • You can give effective instructions to AI tools to improve clarity and efficiency in your work, refining inputs and applying outputs critically to support operational goals.
