Northrop Grumman is seeking an HR Business Partner to support the Engineering HR Organization. The role involves providing strategic and tactical HR support to Engineering leaders and employees, including talent identification, performance management, employee relations, compensation, succession planning, and organization development. The position requires project management of HR initiatives and collaboration with HR subject matter experts and Centers of Excellence. The role also involves ensuring compliance with HR policies and programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with Engineering leaders to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs (e.g., succession planning, workforce development, compensation, and EEO) that align with business goals.
  2. Lead, plan, and execute multiple concurrent HR projects from inception to completion, driving organizational change and process improvements.
  3. Drive talent identification, performance management, and career development initiatives to build bench strength and enhance employee retention.
  4. Act as a trusted advisor to build a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
  5. Work closely with HR peers, leaders, and Centers of Excellence (COE’s) including compensation, employee relations, legal, and organization effectiveness to deliver seamless HR solutions across the organization.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and Special Program Access
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience (for HRBP level)

Nice to have

  • Strong technical competence across one or more HR disciplines: Leadership Development, Talent Management, Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated experience in prioritizing the workday, balancing multiple projects, and working across multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in Workday
  • Previous HR experience in Aerospace & Defense
  • Current/active US Government clearance
