This role is for an Associate Industrial Security Specialist at Boeing, focusing on managing Special Access Programs (SAP) and other restricted security initiatives. The specialist will ensure compliance with regulations, conduct security briefings, manage inventories, establish procedures for protecting proprietary materials, and coordinate approvals with government customers. The role requires a Tier 5 investigation (SSBI) within the last 5 years or continuous vetting, and 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security within NISP, SAP, and/or SCI domains. A U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct initial and recurring security briefings to cleared workforce members on topics such as critical program information, marking, safeguarding and destroying classified information, operations security, physical and communication security, and other security training as required
  2. Conduct inventories and records reconciliation actions to ensure accuracy and accountability
  3. Prepare activity or program concept of operation (CONOPs) outlining unique security protection requirements for sensitive operations
  4. Establish procedures for protecting, handling, storing, and transporting proprietary materials
  5. Coordinate across the security workforce, Boeing engineering, managerial and technical teams, as well as senior Boeing personnel and United States Government customers to seek contract execution approvals, security rulings or deviations as may be required

Skills

Required

  • Tier 5 Investigation (T5) or Continuous Vetting
  • 1+ years of Industrial Security experience
  • Experience with NISP, SAP and/or SCI
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Ability to support after-hours deployments and rotational on-call
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense or Aerospace environment
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers

What the JD emphasized

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
