Associate Legal Counsel

Associate Legal Counsel with 0-2 years PQE to support sales teams in Central and Iberia regions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements, providing commercial legal advice, monitoring regulatory developments (especially in technology, AI, IP, and data privacy), driving process improvements, using AI-assisted legal tech tools, and providing internal training. Requires admission to the Bar Association, foundational knowledge in commercial/tech/IP law, business acumen, strong communication skills, and proficiency in English and Romanian.

What you'd actually do

  1. Draft, Review & Negotiate: Work and negotiate on a variety of agreements—license, professional services, consulting, statements of work, resale, distribution, sales, and licensing. You’ll keep us covered and keep deals moving.
  2. Commercial Legal Support: Partner with our business units, providing timely, commercial advice and delivering in-house training on the legal topics that matter most. Help demystify law for your colleagues!
  3. Compliance Monitor: Monitor and flag relevant regulatory and legal developments — particularly in technology, AI, intellectual property, and data privacy — and support senior counsel in analysing their impact on Adobe.
  4. Drive Process Improvement: Dive into knowledge management and help evolve our legal processes. Lead departmental projects that make us better, smarter, and faster.
  5. Embrace Legal Technology: Use AI-assisted tools for contract analysis, research, and document drafting as part of your day-to-day workflow. Develop hands-on fluency in the technologies that are reshaping how legal services are delivered — no prior experience required, just a genuine curiosity about what’s coming next.

Skills

Required

  • Qualified Lawyer: Admitted to the Bar Association with 0–2 years PQE.
  • Foundational knowledge or a strong interest in commercial, technology, or IP law.
  • Business and Risk Savvy: You see the bigger picture and understand how legal matters fit into business objectives, assess, and manage risks across multiple matters at once.
  • Strong drafting ability and good attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English and Romanian (required).

Nice to have

  • Spanish or Portuguese is a genuine advantage given the Iberia scope of the role.
