This role focuses on improving the quality and efficiency of DoorDash's Commerce Platform Logistics, specifically for the Restaurant (Rx) business. The Associate Manager will analyze cost and quality metrics, identify drivers of defects, and lead initiatives to reduce lateness and in-store wait times. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams (Logistics, Analytics, Product, Engineering, Operations) to scope and execute strategies that enhance customer, merchant, and dasher experiences, ultimately driving business growth and improving unit economics. While AI tools might be used, the core function is operational strategy and product improvement, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Track and analyze cost and quality metrics across strategic merchants, conducting deep-dives to identify key drivers of quality defects and savings opportunities.
  2. Own logistics for high-growth business lines in Catering and Health
  3. Assist in structuring and executing operational tests to identify solutions for reducing defects like lateness or in-store wait times.
  4. Partner with Logistics, Analytics, and Product teams to scope and assess initiatives that can improve the efficiency and quality of the logistics system
  5. Engage with cross-functional teams to support initiatives that enhance merchant and customer experience.
