What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
  2. Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs and maintain the program architecture for build.
  3. Provide on-site engineering support; create, coordinate, and issue manufacturing plans for shop consumption.
  4. Foresee and prevent potential conflicts and risks associated with successful completion of work tasks/jobs.
  5. Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Extensive background and experience in product design, fabrication, assembly, and structural testing within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner with production personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
