What you'd actually do

  1. Has overall responsibility for Asia Pacific and worldwide pharmacoepidemiologic planning and study recommendations for assigned products.
  2. Develop primary subject matter expertise in one or more therapeutic areas and receive assignments in any therapeutic area depending on need.
  3. Lead interaction with risk management subteams, value evidence subteams, clinical/regulatory subteams, and other areas of Research Laboratories on epidemiologic matters.
  4. Design, conduct, and analyze epidemiologic research studies on assigned products worldwide.
  5. Provide scientific oversight and mentorship to more junior Epidemiology staff.

Skills

Required

  • PhD in Epidemiology or MD with additional research training in Epidemiology
  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology with at least 7 years relevant work experience
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience (7 or more years if Master’s degree)
  • Extensive experience in the successful direction of large epidemiologic projects
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the application of epidemiologic approaches to problems in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Record of substantial research publications in peer-reviewed journals
