Boeing Poland is seeking an Associate Software Systems Engineer to join their avionics and electronics systems development team. The role involves contributing to system-level architecture, translating requirements into software design, developing and testing embedded software for commercial aircraft, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and certification needs. Experience in safety-critical software development and C/C++ coding is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to system-level architecture and requirements management process
  2. Translate system-level requirements, use cases and models into software requirements and design
  3. Contribute to design, development, verification and maintenance of software components and integrations for system-level solutions
  4. Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with requirements, standards and best practices
  5. Contribute to the development, review and maintenance of software certification artifacts

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Experience in developing safety-critical software (entire lifecycle)
  • Ability to translate system requirements into software requirements and maintain traceability
  • Coding and code-review experience (C, C++, embedded)
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with systems engineers, stakeholders and suppliers.
  • 2+ years of professional experience

Nice to have

  • Experience with industry-specific standards for development and certification relevant to the role (E.g. ARP4754 B, DO-178C)
  • Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
  • Interest in Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Collaborating on international projects
  • Technical degree in a related field of study (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering)
