Associate Specialist, Software Engineer – Finance IT

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Finance IT organization. This is an entry‑level / early‑career role designed for technically strong individuals who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow.
Finance knowledge is not required — exposure to Finance systems and processes is a learning opportunity and a gain for the individual.
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and support of enterprise applications used by Finance teams. You will work under guidance from senior engineers while building strong technical foundations and learning how large‑scale business systems operate.
What will you do in this role:
- Contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications.
- Implement features, fixes, and improvements with guidance from senior team members.
- Work on integrations and data flows across internal and external systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and Agile ceremonies.
- Use Git or other Source Code Configuration Management (SCCM) tools as part of daily development work.
- Troubleshoot issues and propose effective and creative technical solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and actively learn the business context of the systems.
What Should you have:
Education Level:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude and foundations in software engineering.
- Ability to analyze problems and find effective, creative solutions.
- Experience with Git or other SCCM tools.
- Experience with at least one programming language or modern development framework.
- Basic understanding of databases and structured data.
- Willingness and ability to learn complex systems and new business domains.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or others).
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, or messaging concepts.
- Interest in Finance, enterprise systems, or large‑scale platforms.
- Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
