Boeing's Phantom Works is hiring Associate Systems Engineers in Huntsville, AL, to work on missile defense systems. The role involves contributing to mission assessment, architecture, requirements, Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE), integration, and test. Responsibilities include defining system architecture, developing requirements, running trade studies, planning and executing integration and test activities, and building/maintaining modeling and simulation tools. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field and 2+ years of systems engineering experience are required, along with a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help define and evolve the MDA/C2BMC system architecture.
  2. Develop and maintain requirements and architecture artifacts (including interface definitions) to support missile defense capabilities.
  3. Plan and execute integration and checkout work – define tasks, schedule them, assign work, monitor completion, and keep the integration plan moving.
  4. Evaluate results from integration/checkout activities and determine whether they meet checkout requirements so the team can proceed to the next stage
  5. Evaluate system performance across realistic scenarios and architectures to provide mission insight used by MDA and warfighters

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2 or more years' related engineering experience.
  • Prior experience in system engineering (e.g. Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements or Test).
