Associate Systems Engineer

Boeing Boeing · Aerospace · Colorado Springs, CO

Boeing's Phantom Works is hiring Associate Systems Engineers to work on missile defense systems. The role involves shaping system-level concepts, architectures, requirements, and assessments. Responsibilities include defining system architecture, developing requirements, planning and executing integration and test activities, and performing modeling and simulation for system performance evaluation. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field and 2+ years of systems engineering experience, with a strong preference for experience in MBSE tools, requirements analysis, and integration/test execution.

What you'd actually do

  1. Help define and evolve the MDA/C2BMC system architecture.
  2. Develop and maintain requirements and architecture artifacts (including interface definitions) to support missile defense capabilities.
  3. Plan and execute integration and checkout work – define tasks, schedule them, assign work, monitor completion, and keep the integration plan moving.
  4. Evaluate system performance across realistic scenarios and architectures to provide mission insight used by MDA and warfighters
  5. Build and maintain analysis tools across multiple levels of fidelity, including modeling and simulation that predicts performance against evolving threats
