Boeing is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer for their Government Vehicle Health Management Systems team. The role involves planning, designing, developing, and verifying system solutions for aircraft health management across multiple platforms. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, performing analyses, managing processes, and resolving technical issues. Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and experience in systems engineering across product life-cycles.

What you'd actually do

  1. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  2. Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  3. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  4. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  5. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • 1+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)
  • 1+ years of experience working systems engineering across multiple phases of the product life-cycle

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • 1+ years’ experience building stakeholder and customer relationships
  • Agile development experience
  • Experience with military aircraft and Proprietary programs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence
  • 2+ years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a plus
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and CAM duties
