Associate Technical Data Designer

This role focuses on developing, analyzing, collecting, and storing technical data and specifications for aircraft systems, specifically for the F/A-18 program. The responsibilities include evaluating product supportability, establishing maintenance tasks and support systems, and revising technical publications and documentation. The role requires experience with aircraft maintenance, understanding of aircraft subsystems, and the ability to interpret engineering documents and drawings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, analyze, collect, and store various system support technical data elements and specifications to evaluate and make recommendations.
  2. Provides recommendations on product supportability and establishes operation maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems to achieve supportability requirements for multiple equipment subsystems.
  3. This role identifies, researches, develops and revises technical publications, documentation, and related data.
  4. Analyzes customer requirements to understand scope and required elements.
  5. Reviewing technical support publications for technical accuracy, grammatical errors, format and style per guidelines.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance
  • 3+ years general working level knowledge of tactical aircraft hydro-mechanical subsystems, and components, including at least one of the following areas of focus: flight controls, landing gear, ejection seats, fuel, hydraulics, power plant (engines & APU's), environmental controls
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings

Nice to have

  • Associates degree or higher, or 5 years' related work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft Hydro-Mechanical/Structures maintenance.
  • Escape System/Canopy Windshield/ECS experience
  • F/A-18 platform experience
