This role involves fabricating and maintaining instrumentation systems, installing sensors and wiring onto aircraft parts, interpreting engineering drawings, and troubleshooting electrical circuits. It is an Associate Test & Evaluation Lab Tech position at Boeing, requiring the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, manufacturing processes and technologies
  2. Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
  3. Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
  4. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
  5. Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews

Skills

Required

  • ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate’s degree or higher, a technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
  • Experience fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
  • Experience interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and definition

Nice to have

  • Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes
  • Experience with aerospace assembly and/or electrical fabrication
  • Strain gage experience
