This role acts as an internal category insights manager, leveraging data and reporting to derive insights about the company, consumer, and competitors. The insights are then translated into recommendations to guide merchants in creating strategies for market share growth, guest relevancy, and profitability. The role involves collaborating with core merchandising partners to address strategic opportunities, centralizing insights into action, and partnering with cross-company insights teams. Key responsibilities include data visualization, storytelling with data, and influencing strategy through key performance indicators. The role will also partner with a Merchandising Insights team for tools and reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as an internal category insights manager for your buying team.
  2. Leverage data and reporting to derive insights about the company, consumer, and competitors.
  3. Translate those insights to meaningful recommendations that will guide merchants in creating strategies that gain market share, improve guest relevancy, and enhance profitability.
  4. Collaborate with your partners in core merchandising to solve some of their biggest strategic opportunities from segmentation to emerging guest trends.
  5. Be the go-to for centralizing insights into action for your merchant partners, collaborating with insights teams across the company.
