What you'd actually do

  1. Review and analyze regulatory requirements applicable to the company’s business operations in Korea.
  2. Provide legal advice and prepare responses to inquiries, investigations, and requests from government and regulatory authorities.
  3. Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, partnership, service, and distribution agreements.
  4. Prepare and review memos, correspondence, and provide legal advice on copyright and intellectual property-related matters.
  5. Advise senior management on legal and regulatory issues impacting corporate operations in Korea.

Skills

Required

  • Korea Bar Licensed attorney
  • Fluent in Korean
  • business proficiency in English
  • 3–8 years of post-qualification legal experience

  • Experience with multinational companies
  • legal advice on regulatory matters such as the Fair-Trade Act, the Personal Information Protection Act, and other compliance-related laws
  • advising corporate law and intellectual property regimes, particularly copyright, trademark, and unfair competition laws
