Audio Experience and Innovation Engineer, Devices and Services

Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +1

This role focuses on defining and delivering high-quality audio experiences across Google's Pixel ecosystem, integrating AI/ML technologies like LLMs, NLP, ASR, and TTS into consumer electronic devices. The engineer will lead system audio architecture, execute experiments, translate concepts into technical specifications, and drive solutions across hardware and software boundaries, collaborating with cross-functional teams and integrating research into products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the definition of the end-to-end system audio architecture for new Pixel products and features, demonstrating technical leadership and goal.
  2. Execute experiments including the design, implementation (prototyping), analysis, and communication of results.
  3. Translate product concepts and user experience goals into scalable technical specifications, encompassing hardware components, software frameworks, APIs, and algorithms.
  4. Architect and drive solutions that span across hardware and software boundaries, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  5. Drive the resolution of complex system-level trade-offs and challenges related to audio experience delivery, and collaborate across disciplines to integrate research into Google products.
