Uber Uber · Consumer · San Francisco, CA · Engineering

Audio Video Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting A/V systems, including writing configuration scripts, building observability into systems, and troubleshooting. Requires experience in enterprise A/V environments and proficiency in scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement scalable and high-performing A/V solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  2. Write, test, and maintain configuration scripts and automation to deploy and manage A/V systems across Uber offices.
  3. Proactively monitor and improve A/V system reliability by building observability (alerts, telemetry, health dashboards) into production systems.
  4. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to escalations, leveraging strong troubleshooting practices to minimize downtime.
  5. Lead technical design discussions, develop architecture artifacts (e.g., system diagrams, ERDs), and define configuration standards.
