Audiovisual Service Technician (associate, Mid-level or Senior)

This role involves providing end-user training, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for audiovisual systems to government customers. Responsibilities include performing onsite AV system troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, providing meeting and event support, preventative maintenance, technical support, and maintaining system documentation. The role also involves escalating problems to engineering staff and collaborating on resolutions, as well as providing AV system user training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform onsite AV system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair to ensure high levels of operational readiness
  2. Provide meeting and event support including set-up, in-meeting assistance, and post event breakdown or support
  3. Perform preventative maintenance and daily AV system checks
  4. Provide technical support to the end users in person or by phone
  5. Maintain and update system documentation and troubleshooting guides in Confluence, Jira, or other ticketing systems

Skills

Required

  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance
  • Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP)
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • 1+ years of related work experience (for Associate Level)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to perform physical tasks (walking, standing, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling)
  • Experience with installing and troubleshooting audiovisual systems (Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Thinklogical, etc.)

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of related work experience (for Mid-Level)
  • 5+ years of related work experience (for Senior Level)
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field
  • AVIXA CTS certification
  • Manufacturer certifications (Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Thinklogical, ...)
