Audit Supervisor - Global Corporate and Investment Banking

This role is for an Audit Supervisor in Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America. The primary responsibilities include independently performing complex audit activities, designing and executing audit tests, assessing issues for business impact and recommending severity ratings, and establishing business partner relationships. The role requires evaluating the control environment, applying product, business, and technical expertise, and supporting team development. What you'd actually do

  1. Executes audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing by defining audit scope and audit programs, and leverages automation and innovative methods in a timely and high quality manner
  2. Exercises sound knowledge of product, business, and technical expertise to effectively challenge management to improve the control environment
  3. Assesses impacts to business processes, controls, and strategies to provide recommendations on severity ratings
  4. Provides input on draft audit reports and shares audit results with business leaders
  5. Supports the development of peers and teams through on-the-job-training and fosters an inclusive work environment

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of internal audit or front office business control or compliance or risk management experience covering the corporate and investment banking (GCIB) business (e.g. equity capital markets, debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, leasing etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience auditing the Investment Banking Business within an organization (GCIB)
  • Experience with risk and control identification and assessment
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • Pro-active, positive attitude, exhibits sense of ownership, flexibility and intellectual curiosity
  • Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with coaching less experienced team members
  • Experience of working in a large global bank
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or relevant qualifications
