The Automation Engineer role in Ford's Parts, Supply and Logistics division focuses on implementing advanced technologies, optimizing material flow and storage, and supporting facility modifications. What you'd actually do

  1. Work collaboratively with 3rd party vendors and facility management to design and install solutions at Ford distribution operations.
  2. Work cross functionally with other Ford organizations such as purchasing, finance, manufacturing, and labor affairs.
  3. Perform internal purchasing functions to generate requisitions and gain necessary approvals to execute POs, process invoices, and reconcile discrepancies.
  4. Utilize AutoCAD to make adjustments to new or existing facility CAD drawings.
  5. Identify deficiencies in existing material flow and storage strategies, provide recommendations based on data supported analysis.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree in supply Chain
  • 3 years of experience within parts, supply and logistics
  • Proficient with Excel (Pivot tables, VLookUps, etc..)
  • Collect and Analyze data
  • Willing to travel

  • Masters degree in Engineering/supply chain management
  • AutoCAD experience
