What you'll do...
In this role, you will be supporting the engineering services team within Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) within Ford’s Customer Service Division (FCSD). On this team you will be the first line of support for Ford’s distribution and packaging network as it relates to systems management, facility modification, and advanced technology implementation.
In this role, you will be supporting the engineering services team within Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) within Ford’s Customer Service Division (FCSD).
Candidates will be responsible for the following activities and functions:
- Work collaboratively with 3rd party vendors and facility management to design and install solutions at Ford distribution operations.
- Work cross functionally with other Ford organizations such as purchasing, finance, manufacturing, and labor affairs.
- Perform internal purchasing functions to generate requisitions and gain necessary approvals to execute POs, process invoices, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Utilize AutoCAD to make adjustments to new or existing facility CAD drawings.
- Identify deficiencies in existing material flow and storage strategies, provide recommendations based on data supported analysis.
- Utilize SAP EWM and available BI data to pull critical data sets, performing data visualization to draw key inferences for key PS&L stakeholders.
- Assist in benchmarking best in world OEMs, generate detailed business cases based on solution recommendations, and convert findings into presentations that can be shared with FCSD executive leadership.
- Leverage project management skills to hit deadlines, stay within budget, and overcome obstacles in a high paced environment.
- Candidates should expect to be onsite at a metro Detroit PS&L operations facility 3-4 days per week, with locations varying day to day.
- Candidates should expect periodic travel to North American PS&L operations facilities and to travel for benchmarking with other OEMs and equipment vendors.
You'll have...
- Bachelors degree required preferred in supply Chain
- 3 years of experience within parts, supply and logistics
- Must be willing to travel
- Proficient with Excel ( Pivot tables, VLookUps, etc..)
- Collect and Analyze data
Even better, you may have...
- Masters degree preferred in Engineering/supply chain management degree preferred
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- SAP/MMP/Alteryx/Excel experience preferred
- Knowledge of purchasing systems/Ariba/MEARS/PCAM/I-ERP preferred
- Depot operations experience preferred
- Strategy and planning experience preferred
- History of material handling automation implementation preferred
- Project management experience preferred

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
