This role is for a QA Automation Infrastructure Engineer who will build and maintain the core automation infrastructure, including frameworks, tools, libraries, CI/CD integrations, and reporting capabilities. The focus is on enabling self-service testing, improving test execution efficiency, reliability, and scalability, and troubleshooting automation and infrastructure issues. The company is in the AI security space, and the role involves using AI tools to improve productivity and quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, implement, and maintain shared QA automation infrastructure.
  2. Build frameworks, libraries, utilities, and internal tools for automation at scale.
  3. Enable self-service testing for developers and QA engineers.
  4. Support component, integration, system, API, backend, frontend, and E2E testing.
  5. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in TypeScript and/or Python.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including deep language understanding, clean code practices, and the ability to design maintainable, scalable solutions.
  • Proven experience building automation infrastructure at scale, including frameworks, shared libraries, internal tools, and self-service platforms used by dozens to hundreds of engineers and QA users across multiple teams and products.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Pytest, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of test execution, debugging, reporting, failure analysis, automation reliability, and flaky test investigation.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud environments, or scalable test execution environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to investigate complex automation, infrastructure, and pipeline issues.

Nice to have

  • Experience with test optimization, stabilization, parallelization, and failures tracking.
  • Experience building dashboards, automation KPIs, reporting tools, or quality visibility systems.
  • Experience with microservices, Kafka, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, data, cloud-native, or enterprise software environments.
