This role is for an Automotive Equipment Technician at Verizon, responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and special equipment. The job involves diagnosing vehicle problems, performing inspections, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order. What you'd actually do

  1. Performing maintenance and repair of all types of motor vehicles and special equipment in the Verizon fleet.
  2. Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing all company associated equipment, including aerial lifts, diggers, generators, tools, etc.
  3. Using computer test equipment to diagnose vehicle problems.
  4. Interfacing with vehicle users regarding repairs, questions, etc.
  5. Performing OSHA, ANSI, emissions, and state inspections on company vehicles.

What the JD emphasized

  • 5 or more years’ experience as a mechanic or other relevant experience
  • CDL License or Commercial Learner’s Permit (CDL required within 6 months of hire)
  • Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must meet safety-related requirements including but not limited to those standards of safety imposed by OSHA, state agencies, manufacturers and/or the company.
