The Safety Technology team for Caterpillar Technology manages the collision mitigation systems for our Automation and Autonomy products. As an Autonomy Engineering Specialist, this person will defines robotic needs for businesses; provides technical leadership on complex solutions for robotics software development, testing and validation processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Participating in the processes of test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of robotics software.
  2. Applying new technologies to improve the capability of a portfolio of robotics software.
  3. Consulting on the integration issues of robotic software with existing infrastructure components and products.
  4. Leading in design, implementation, testing and release of software for robotic devices.
  5. Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
