Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking an Aviation Maintenance Engineer to ensure the airworthiness and mission readiness of developmental UAS platforms. This role involves hands-on mechanical expertise in aircraft assembly, maintenance, and flight testing, working alongside engineers and test pilots. The engineer will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft and subsystems, perform documentation, and communicate assessments. The role requires FAA A&P license and rotorcraft experience, with preferred qualifications including security clearance eligibility and experience with electric and turbine power plants.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist with many aspects of aircraft assembly, planned and preventative maintenance, and operation including mechanical integration (flight control surfaces, propulsion), composites fabrication, and avionics build/integration/test.
  2. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft and subsystems including landing gear, fuel system, flight control, and propulsion.
  3. Perform common airframe construction techniques.
  4. Complete aircraft and equipment documentation.
  5. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain site support equipment.
