RTX is seeking a Product Cost Manager for their Avionics division in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role involves tracking and driving cost management initiatives, contract coverage, and strategic supply chain projects. Responsibilities include collaborating with commodity teams, analyzing risks and opportunities, tracking savings, preparing performance metrics, and managing projects. Requires strong supply chain experience, data analysis skills, and the ability to drive accountability.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with central commodity teams to drive cost reduction goals aligned with overall commodity and business unit strategies and achieve cost objectives
  2. Analyze, identify, and communicate risk and opportunities to long term agreement goals, including expiring contracts
  3. Team with supply chain to understand and track direct supply chain savings and PAC for the Avionics business unit.
  4. Prepare and present metric status and performance for Supply Chain leadership.
  5. Drive recovery plans for cost and PAC with commodity teams

Skills

Required

  • University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Supply Chain experience
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Drive accountability
  • Communicate gaps to key stakeholders and leadership

Nice to have

  • Experience in Supply Chain
  • Experience with cost out initiatives
  • Experience utilizing an MRP or ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Strong Analytical skills (Excel, Access database, SAP, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence in a cross functional engagement
