Avionics Systems Design and Analysis Engineer role at Boeing focused on ensuring the safety and reliability of the Out of Production (OoP) fleet by providing compliance and technical support for various avionics systems. What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and manage the design, integration and test of Avionics systems for the OoP fleet.
  2. Lead functional analysis of complex requirements into subsystem architectures, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  3. Manage requirements and provide evidence of requirement verification and validation.
  4. Manage and lead Avionics systems supplier activities that include requirement definition and validation, documentation review and processing, design analysis, qualification testing, and certification coordination.
  5. Coordinate and lead subsystem integration, testing (lab, ground and flight) and certification of Avionics systems.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience being a team leader
  • 1+ years of experience with engineering disciplines related to systems within Avionics, including but are not limited to Autoflight, Flight Management, Communications, Guidance and Navigation, Displays, TCAS, FDRS, Aircraft Condition Monitoring Systems (ACMS).
  • Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
  • Ability to work with multiple team functions
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
