Assistant Vice President (AVP) leading strategic planning, engineering implementation, execution, business development, budget, and lifecycle management of in-building neutral-host connectivity solutions, including Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), in-building wireless, small cells, and Wi-Fi. The role focuses on ensuring solutions meet performance, economic, regulatory, and operational standards, developing long-term strategy, directing large teams, and supporting AT&T's network modernization, 5G coverage, and customer experience objectives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the In-Building business development management team, responsible for negotiation and contract execution for new and existing In-Building solutions.
  2. Business Case Development and Strategy for In-Building solutions, including should-cost analysis, creation of alternative models, and In-Building RFP
  3. Leading and participating in In-Building RFP processes, including the evaluation and execution of proposals, and collaborate with in-building strategy, procurement, legal, and technical teams to ensure compliance and optimal selection of vendors and partners
  4. Serve as the senior business and operational interface across engineering, construction, real estate, finance, legal, vendors, and external partners.
  5. Direct and develop large teams, including managers and senior staff.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in DAS, in‑building wireless, small cells, neutral‑host, or related wireless infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end network or infrastructure programs, from planning through execution and lifecycle management.
  • Robust negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Strong understanding of wireless engineering fundamentals (RAN, radios, antennas, spectrum).
  • Demonstrated experience with budget ownership, financial modeling, and ROI analysis.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
