Overview
As an Azure Apps & AI Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) within the Customer Success Unit (CSU), you will serve as the senior technical advisor and delivery lead for Federal Government and Defence customers, focused on modern application platforms and secure AI adoption.
You are responsible for designing, enabling, and scaling modern cloud applications and AI solutions on Azure to unlock measurable business value in highly regulated environments (ISM, PSPF, protected/secure workloads).
This is a customer-facing, outcome-driven role where you:
- Lead application modernization and AI delivery execution
- Enable secure, compliant AI adoption (including Copilot and custom AI solutions)
- Drive Azure consumption, innovation, and long-term platform strategy
- Partner across Microsoft to deliver end-to-end transformation outcomes
In the FDI context, you play a critical role in:
- Enabling AI transformation in secure government environments
- Modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native, scalable services
- Helping customers move from AI pilots to production in regulated settings
- Building trusted advisory relationships with senior government stakeholders
Responsibilities
1. Application & AI Delivery Execution
- Lead delivery and stabilization of modern application and AI solutions on Azure
- Unblock technical issues impacting committed delivery milestones
- Ensure applications and AI solutions align with security and compliance requirements (ISM, PSPF)
- Support resolution of technical challenges across:
2. Application Modernization & AI Architecture
- Design cloud-native application architectures, including:
- Architect and guide AI solutions, including:
- Enable customers to move from pilot to production-ready solutions
- Build reusable patterns for secure AI and application deployment across agencies
3. Consumption & Innovation Growth
- Drive adoption of Azure Apps and AI services through platform enablement
- Enable faster development, deployment, and scaling of applications
- Accelerate AI usage by embedding it into real business processes
- Reduce friction between ideation, build, and production rollout
4. Technical Leadership & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor on:
- Deliver proactive engagements, including:
- Guide customers on best practices for:
5. Customer Success Planning & Stakeholder Alignment
- Drive execution of Customer Success Plans (CSPs) aligned to Apps & AI outcomes
- Maintain visibility of:
- Engage senior stakeholders, including engineering leads, CIOs, and program leaders, to align:
- Drive One Microsoft alignment across CSU, STU, Engineering, and partners
6. Operational Excellence, Security & Responsible AI
- Ensure applications and AI solutions are:

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
